About Ludo Star
Ludo is a race with one brutal rule bolted on. Tokens travel from base towards the goal at the centre, and landing on an opponent’s token sends it back to the start. That single mechanic means the shortest route is rarely the safest, and the decision each turn is whether to push your leader forward or shepherd the straggler out of danger.
Around that core sits a progression layer. Several modes are available, matches run continuously rather than towards an ending, and there is a trophy road with sub-quests and cosmetic dice skins to unlock. None of it changes the board, but it gives a game of chance a reason to keep going once the match is over.
How to play
Roll, then choose which of your tokens advances by that number. Getting a token home means completing the whole route without being landed on. The first player to bring all their tokens into the centre takes the match.
Controls
- Click the dice to roll on your turn.
- Click whichever token you want to advance.
- A computer screen keeps the whole board and all four bases in view at once.
Tips
- Spread your tokens rather than bunching them, so no single roll can punish two positions.
- Taking an opponent’s token normally beats advancing your own leader, because removing their progress is worth more than adding to yours.
- Do not chase dice skins at the expense of the match; they are cosmetic, and the trophies come from winning.
