About Reward Hack
Reward Hack is a short-level platformer where nothing on screen can be trusted. You play Agent, a small robot in training, and an Evaluator gives you one plain task per level before its traps break that promise: floors fall away, spikes appear mid-jump, doors wander off and gravity flips.
Every fifth level is a hack level. The honest route cannot win there; the way through is to satisfy the letter of the test instead of its intent. Each of the five hacks copies something real AI systems are documented doing, and the final screen says which.
How to play
- Move with the arrow keys or A and D, and jump with Space, W or up. On a phone, use the three buttons at the bottom of the screen.
- Reach the exit door. A death restarts the level at once, and the Failures counter keeps score.
- Press P or the pause button whenever you need a break.
- The level list shows every level you have unlocked and how many times each one beat you.
Tips
- If something looks safe, test it from a distance first.
- Read the task line and the Evaluator’s asides: on hack levels the exact wording is the clue.
- Short taps give short hops; hold jump for full height.
Reward Hack shares its fictional AI labs with Singularity Rush and Loss Curve.
