About Ultimate Tower Defense
Two systems run side by side. The towers are the familiar part, placed along the route enemies take, each with its own attack behaviour, left to do their work. The heroes are the layer above that, units you commit to whichever stretch of the line is about to break.
That split gives the game its rhythm. Between waves you are an architect deciding where money goes; during a wave you are reacting, throwing attention at the lane that is failing. Choosing a mode at the start sets what kind of run you are in for. It also holds up on a touchscreen, since placing a tower comes down to a tap on the map and a tap on what you want to build.
How to play
Select a mode, then spend your opening funds on towers covering the enemy path. Surviving a wave pays out, and that money goes back into new towers, upgrades and heroes before the next one arrives. Let too many enemies through and the run ends.
Controls
- Click a build spot, choose a tower or hero, and confirm the placement.
- The same sequence works as taps on a phone or tablet.
- Landscape orientation gives a phone enough width to see the full path.
Tips
- Study the path before spending anything, because corners hold enemies inside a tower’s range far longer than straight sections do.
- A second tower of a type you already own is usually worth less than upgrading the first.
- Carry a cash reserve into each wave so you can respond to a breakthrough instead of watching it happen.
