The block is twice as long as it is wide, and that single fact generates every puzzle in the game. Rolling it changes not just its position but its footprint — standing upright it covers one tile, lying flat it covers two. The goal hole is one tile across, so you can only fall in while standing, which means the last move of every level is determined long before you make it.
Reaching that final orientation is the work. Platforms are narrow and edges are unforgiving, and a route that looks fine from above turns out to be one tile short once the block lies down. Expect to lose several attempts to falling off before the geometry starts to feel intuitive.
How to play
Tip the block in a chosen direction one roll at a time, keeping every tile it lands on supported by the platform below. Guide it across the layout and finish by dropping it, upright, into the square hole. Dozens of layouts follow, each tightening the margins.
Controls
- Arrow keys or WASD roll the block north, south, east and west.
- This one needs a keyboard — there is no touch input, so a laptop or desktop is the way to play it.
Tips
- Count tiles before rolling. A flat block needs two supported squares, and that is the mistake that costs most attempts.
- Learn the four-roll loop that returns the block to its starting square and orientation. It is the cheapest way to fix a parity error.
- If you keep arriving at the hole lying flat, your route has an odd number of moves in it — add a detour, not a shortcut.
