About Koko Loco Block Blast

Three shapes are offered at a time, and you place them anywhere on the grid that will hold them. Complete a row or a column and it clears. Nothing drops from above, nothing rotates, and there is no clock — which sounds forgiving until you realise it means the board only ever fills up because of decisions you made.

That is the appeal. A run ends when none of the three offered shapes fits anywhere, and that failure is always traceable to a lazy placement four or five turns earlier. Chaining several clears at once builds combos and drives the score, so there is a real tension between playing safe and holding a row open for something bigger.

How to play

Take each of the three shapes and drag it onto the grid. Fill an entire row or column and those cells disappear, freeing space. A fresh set of three arrives once all are placed. Keep going until nothing will fit, then try to beat the score next time.

Controls

  • Click and hold a shape, drag it to where you want it, and release to commit.
  • Tap and drag does the job on a phone, with the grid in portrait so it sits comfortably in one hand.

Tips

  • Keep the middle of the board clear and build along the edges. Central clutter is what kills runs.
  • Assume the next set will contain the awkward three-by-three square, and always leave somewhere it can go.
  • Place the largest of the three shapes first. Fitting the small ones around it afterwards is nearly always possible; the reverse is not.
