About 1945 Air Force Space Shooter

Your guns never stop, which means this is not really a game about shooting. It is a game about position. Enemy formations arrive in set patterns, their return fire spreads into overlapping arcs, and the narrow lanes those arcs leave behind are the only places worth being.

The look is borrowed from the propeller-era arcade cabinets, but the projectile density belongs to something more modern. Opening waves are forgiving enough to lull you. By the time a stage boss appears, there are more bullets on screen than enemies, and staying alive comes down to finding one column of empty space and refusing to leave it.

How to play

Drag your fighter around the screen while it fires automatically. The job is to dodge while staying close enough that hits keep landing. Clear each wave, outlast the boss, and carry your upgraded firepower forward into the next stage.

Controls

  • Click and drag with the mouse — the plane follows the pointer rather than stepping in fixed increments.
  • Slide one finger on touch for the same effect. Turning a phone sideways gives noticeably more room to manoeuvre.

Tips

  • The hitbox is smaller than the sprite suggests. Gaps that look impossible usually are not.
  • Sit slightly below centre instead of hugging the bottom edge. Low positions leave no vertical room to react.
  • Against a boss, pick one side and orbit it. Crossing the middle of the screen during a spread pattern is how most runs end.
