About Basketball Stars 2026

Everything unfolds on half a court and the rulebook is thin. No fouls, no whistle for hacking the ball loose, so slapping it out of the other player’s grip counts as defence rather than a violation. A ladder of matches gives a lone player something to climb, though the design plainly has two people sharing one keyboard in mind.

Distance is what sets it apart from other arcade sports. A shot’s arc shifts with where you take it from, so spacing a defender out for a three beats raw pace, and the meter that fills through play cashes in for a basket that drops from anywhere. That certainty turns the closing minute into a scramble to keep the ball from whoever is charged.

How to play

Sink more than your opponent before the clock empties. Ordinary baskets ride on where and when you release; a block only lands if you jump before the shooter does. Save the charged attempt for a possession an ordinary one would miss.

Controls

  • One player: WASD or the arrows to move, X or L to shoot and strip the ball, S to pump then block, K or Z for the charged shot. A quick double-tap in a direction breaks into a dash.
  • Two players sharing the board: the left side drives with WASD, shoots on B, pumps on S; the right side takes the arrows, shoots on L, pumps with the down arrow. Double-tap left or right to dash, and K spends the meter.
  • No touch option, so a keyboard machine is required.

Tips

  • A pump-fake beats an eager defender. Blocks only connect on the rise, so bait the jump before you truly shoot.
  • Open your three by dashing away from the rim, not toward it. The gap you carve matters more than closing the distance.
  • When the other player’s meter nears full, hound the ball loose instead of guarding the hoop. A charged shot falls regardless of your defence.
