About Car Mechanic Simulator 2025
You walk around a workshop in first person, which changes the feel of the job considerably compared with menu-based repair games. Finding a derelict car is only the start; the work is disassembly, part by part, until the thing is a collection of components on the floor and you can see exactly what has rusted through.
Sourcing replacements is the slow half. Some parts are common, some are not, and a restoration can stall waiting for one component while three finished cars sit gleaming beside it. Painting comes last and is the only stage that is purely a matter of taste.
How to play
Locate a wreck, take it apart, identify what needs replacing, fit the parts and put it back together. Once mechanically sound, the car goes into the paint booth. Completed restorations fund the next project, so the loop is find, strip, repair, paint, sell.
Controls
- W A S D to walk, Space to jump, E to use whatever you are looking at and F to open panels and doors.
- The left mouse button applies paint in the spray stage.
- Touchscreens get a left-hand joystick for walking plus on-screen buttons for jumping and every other action, so the full workshop is reachable on a phone.
Tips
- Photograph the layout in your head before removing a subassembly — reassembly order is not always the reverse of teardown.
- Check what a car needs in full before buying any parts, so one shopping trip covers the whole job.
- Paint last. Fitting components after spraying wastes the finish you just chose.
