About Grand Mahjong Connect
Traditional mahjong solitaire pairs tiles. This one takes three, and it takes them through a holding bar along the bottom of the screen. Tiles you tap leave the board and sit in that bar until a third identical tile joins them, at which point all three vanish. Fill the bar with orphans and the level is over.
That rule turns a calm-looking tile game into something closer to inventory management. The board can be almost clear and still unwinnable if four half-finished sets are occupying your only working space.
How to play
Tiles are stacked in layers, and only pieces with nothing resting on top can be lifted. Send identical tiles to the bar until a set of three completes and clears. Empty the board to finish the level. Let the bar reach capacity and you start again.
Controls
- Click a tile to move it into the collection bar
- Tapping does the same on phones and tablets, and the tiles are drawn large enough to hit cleanly without zooming
Tips
- Do not touch a tile until you know where its two partners are sitting. Guessing is how the bar fills.
- Finish an existing set in the bar before opening a new one, even when a fresher match looks easier.
- When the bar has one slot left, treat it as zero and spend a shuffle or restart rather than gambling on the next layer.
