About Jetstream Escape

Water changes everything. The boat does not grip, it slides, and a turn started too late carries you well past where you intended to be. That single difference is what separates this from the road-based chase games it otherwise resembles.

Two pressures run at once. Coast guard boats follow your line and close on you when you slow, and weather rolls in independently of what the pursuit is doing. Being chased into a storm is the situation the game keeps engineering, and handling it means giving up ground on purpose to take a cleaner line through rough water.

How to play

Stay ahead of pursuit and stay upright. Speed is not the only variable, since the boat’s momentum means every hard turn scrubs off pace you then have to rebuild. The most reliable approach is a wide, smooth line rather than a series of sharp corrections.

Controls

  • Keyboard: WASD or the arrow keys to steer and control throttle
  • Mobile: the boat follows finger input on the screen
  • Landscape gives you more forward view, which is what you need on open water

Tips

  • Begin turns earlier than instinct suggests. The boat keeps travelling in its old direction for a beat after you steer.
  • Rough water slows you regardless of throttle, so cutting through a wave crest costs more than going around it.
  • When pursuit closes, straighten up and rebuild speed rather than jinking. Sharp turns are what let them catch you.
