About Pool Master
This is not an eight-ball simulator with an opponent across the table. Each level is a constructed problem — a particular arrangement, sometimes with pockets closed off, sometimes with balls that have to be cleared in a specific way before the table opens up. You are solving a layout, not winning a frame.
The consequence is that brute force stops working early. On a normal table any pot is a good pot; here, sinking the wrong ball first can leave the remainder unreachable. Coins earned along the way buy better cues, and a wheel dispenses occasional boosts, but the levels are designed to be solvable without either.
How to play
Aim the cue with the directional controls, judge the strength, and take your shot. Clear every ball on the table to complete the level, working around any sealed pockets and dealing with the special balls on the terms the level sets. Coins from completed tables go towards cue upgrades and the Lucky Wheel.
Controls
- Directional input aims the cue, with power set before you strike.
- Mouse and keyboard only, so use a computer for the precision this demands.
Tips
- Look at which pockets are shut before your first shot. A plan built around a closed pocket wastes the whole break.
- Special balls usually gate the rest of the table. Clear them before tidying up the easy pots.
- Soft shots leave the cue ball where you left it. Save power for when you actually need the spread.
