About Racing Master 3D

The unusual thing about this one is how little you actually do. Steering is handled with a single input rather than a set of directional keys, so the car follows your click or touch and the rest of the driving is managed for you. That sounds limiting, and for a lap or two it is, but it pushes attention onto where you place the car instead of how you get it there.

Tracks are enclosed 3D circuits with rivals running the same route. Nitro is the one resource you manage, and where you release it decides most positions. Used on a straight it is worth several car lengths. Used mid-corner it is mostly wasted.

How to play

Follow the track, work your way past the field, and reach the front before the race ends. Overtaking happens on the exits of corners and the long straights that follow them, so the useful habit is looking a corner ahead rather than at the car directly in front.

Controls

  • Desktop: click and hold with the mouse to steer and guide the car
  • Touch: the same input with a finger, held rather than tapped
  • Nitro is triggered from the on-screen control when the gauge has charge in it

Tips

  • Save nitro for the longest straight on each circuit. Two shorter bursts almost never beat one well-timed one.
  • Passing on the inside of a tight corner usually costs more speed than it gains. Wait for the exit.
  • Cars ahead brake earlier than you need to. Holding your line through their braking zone is free ground.
