About Shotting Balls

A level is a cluster of black blocks and a single ball that answers only to physics the moment you release it. What raises the stakes is the life meter: every ball that slips off the lower edge without clearing the field is subtracted from a fixed count, and when that count empties the whole run ends rather than just the stage. Progress carries a cost a pure puzzle would never charge.

Gems pull in the other direction. They surface during a level and, saved up over many, unlock alternate looks for the ball. It is a small cosmetic ladder layered over the block-clearing, and a reason to keep pushing past the score alone.

How to play

Wipe out every black block on a stage and the next one loads in. A ball that drops off the bottom without clearing the board burns a life; empty the meter and the game is over. Scoop up gems whenever one crosses your path, then spend them on skins.

Controls

  • Pull back from the ball, judge the line, and let go to send it off.
  • The portrait layout means one thumb covers a phone, while a held mouse button does the same on desktop.

Tips

  • Treat the life meter as your real budget. A half-cleared stage is worth leaving cleanly rather than leaking shots past the edge chasing it.
  • Gems flash by briefly, so plan a shot’s route to sweep one up instead of burning a turn to fetch it.
  • Aim where the blocks sit tightest. One ball threading a packed group does far more work than one meeting a single block head-on.
