The setting does real work here. Levels run along a saga map through jungle temple ruins, and the obstacles are themed to match, with jungle overgrowth and magical seals locking parts of the grid away. Ordinary matches will not shift them. You need the powers released by larger combinations, so the theme dictates how you play rather than just how it looks.
Progress is long, with daily missions and weekly events layered on top, along with gold and artifacts to accumulate along the way.
How to play
Swap two neighbouring gems to line up three or more of a kind and remove them. Bigger combinations leave charged gems whose effects clear wider areas, and those effects break seals and cut back growth. Each stage sets its own goal, so check what the level wants before spending a move.
Controls
- Click a gem and drag it onto the tile next to it to trade their positions
- Landscape desktop play suits this one, and the saga map is far easier to read on a wide screen than a small one
Tips
- Match on top of an obstacle rather than beside it. Adjacent clears rarely touch sealed tiles.
- Build charged gems low on the grid so the refill cascade does extra work for free.
- Save a special gem for the last few goal pieces instead of firing it early.
