About Jewel Link
Finding two identical jewels is trivial. Getting a legal line between them is the puzzle. Jewel Link allows a connecting path at most three corners, and that ceiling is what separates an obvious pair from an impossible one. Two gems sitting close together can be unreachable while a pair on opposite sides of the grid links instantly because the route between them runs straight.
The result is a game about reading routes rather than colours. Early boards are forgiving, later ones pack the grid tightly enough that most visible matches are illegal until you have opened a channel.
How to play
Pick a jewel, then pick its twin. If the path between them turns three times or fewer, both disappear. Too many bends and nothing happens, which costs you nothing but time. Empty the grid to finish the board.
Controls
- Click one jewel to select it, then click the matching jewel to attempt the link
- Landscape desktop suits it best, since the grid is dense and a pointer selects individual gems more reliably than a fingertip
Tips
- Pairs sharing a row or column need zero or one turn. Take those first without thinking about them.
- Clear the middle early. Interior gems demand the most corners, and every removal shortens the routes around it.
- If a pair refuses to connect, remove a jewel between them and try again rather than abandoning the match.
