About 2048 Mayhem.io
Two familiar things fused into something odd. You steer a cube trailing a tail, collecting more cubes as you go, and identical numbers in your tail merge upwards exactly as they would on a 2048 grid. The number on your head is what everyone else in the arena is checking, because it decides who can eat whom.
That makes the arena a constant arithmetic problem. A player approaching head-on is either lunch or a threat depending on a value you have to read at speed, and the dash — which gets you out of a bad approach or closes a good one — is the only escape once you have committed. Growing fast is easy; growing fast without wandering into someone larger is the actual skill.
How to play
Steer around collecting cubes, merge matching numbers in your tail to raise your head value, and hunt players whose numbers are lower than yours. Anyone with a higher number can do the same to you, so a rising score comes with rising risk. The leaderboard tracks whoever is biggest.
Controls
- On a computer, move the mouse to steer and left-click to dash.
- On a phone, drag a finger to steer and tap with a second finger to dash. It handles well in landscape.
Tips
- Merge before you hunt. A long tail of unmerged small values is a big target with a small head number.
- Dash away rather than towards when unsure — the cost of a wasted escape is far lower than a misread chase.
- Edges are quieter but the cubes are sparser. Drift in to feed, drift out to consolidate.
