About Merge Tower Hero

Two matching units become one better unit. That single rule carries everything, and the arithmetic behind it is the reason the game is tagged as maths — you are constantly working out whether you hold enough duplicates to reach the tier a fight will demand.

Battles arrive between merge phases and act as a check on how well you managed the board. A field crowded with low-tier heroes loses to a wave that one upgraded hero would have handled comfortably, so free space matters as much as spare units do. It reads as casual for the first few rounds and then quietly becomes a puzzle about tile management.

How to play

Buy units into empty tiles, drag matching ones onto each other to combine them, and always keep a slot open so the next purchase has somewhere to land. When a wave begins your assembled team fights on its own, so the result is decided entirely by what you built beforehand.

Controls

  • Drag with the mouse to move a unit onto its twin.
  • On touch, press and drag with one finger. The tiles are sized for it and the layout survives a phone screen.

Tips

  • A full board is a dead board. Merge first, buy second.
  • Two mid-tier units generally beat four weak ones occupying the same space, so resist keeping stragglers around for the extra bodies.
  • Spend between waves rather than during them. Committing gold mid-fight leaves you short for the merge you actually needed.
