About Football Duel
No outfield play at all — this is the shootout, isolated and repeated. You take a penalty, then you go in goal, then you swap back, and the first player to five wins. Stripping football down to that single moment makes each swipe carry more weight than a goal in a full match ever does.
Being in 3D matters for the goalkeeping half. You are looking down the pitch at a striker whose body shape gives away a little about where the ball is going, and you have a fraction of a second to read it. Attacking is the easier side; defending is where matches are actually won.
How to play
When attacking, swipe to set both the direction and the curve of your shot. When defending, swipe towards the side the ball is travelling to dive that way. Goals accumulate on both sides until someone reaches five.
Controls
- Swipe with a finger on a touchscreen, or click and drag with the mouse on a computer.
- The touch version is the more natural fit, and it holds up well on a phone in landscape.
Tips
- Vary the curve, not just the corner. A predictable straight shot at the same post gets read quickly.
- Dive slightly late rather than early — committing before the strike is what leaves the net open.
- Shots aimed low and wide are harder to reach than powerful ones straight down the middle.
