About JUMPER
Left and right. That is the entire input scheme, because the character bounces on its own. Everything else is judgement about where the next platform will be by the time you come down on it. Height is the score, and the climb never loops back to something easier, it just keeps stacking fresh hazards on the ones you have already learned.
What stops it feeling tense is the tone. Soft art, immediate restarts, and a set of skins and achievements to chip away at while your best height creeps upward. Power-ups appear as you climb and can carry you through a stretch you would otherwise have fumbled.
How to play
Climb. Your character bounces automatically, so horizontal position is the only thing to manage. Line up with the next platform, thread past the traps set between them, and take a power-up when the route allows it.
Controls
- Keyboard: A or the left arrow shifts left, D or the right arrow shifts right.
- Mouse: click the left half of the screen to go left, the right half to go right.
- Touch: tap the corresponding side of the screen.
Tips
- Commit to a direction early in the bounce. Steering at the top of the arc rarely lands cleanly.
- Traps tend to sit just past the obvious landing spot, so aim for the near edge of a platform rather than its middle.
- When a power-up sits off to one side, weigh the detour against the platform you will miss reaching it.
