About BAT!zo Runner
Each input lifts the bat a little and gravity handles the rest. Anyone who has played a one-button flyer will recognise the shape immediately, and the difficulty comes from the size of that lift. It is small, so holding a level line means tapping in a steady rhythm rather than reacting to each obstacle as it appears.
Red potions are scattered along the route, and collecting them usually means flying a slightly worse line than pure survival would recommend. That tension between the safe path and the scoring path is what stops it being only a distance test. The art is cartoonish and cheerful, which suits a game where the failure screen shows up often.
How to play
Keep the bat in the air, thread the gaps between obstacles, and pick up red potions wherever the route allows it. Contact with anything ends the run, and the next one starts immediately afterwards.
Controls
- Click to flap on desktop.
- Tap anywhere to flap on a phone or tablet. Mouse and touch behave identically.
Tips
- Small, frequent taps hold a straighter line than one large input. Panic-tapping drives the bat into the ceiling.
- Approach gaps from slightly below. Falling into position is far more controllable than climbing into it.
- Leave a potion that sits directly behind an obstacle. The recovery time simply is not there.
