About Basketball Fever
Rather than a single game, this bundles four distinct shooting challenges behind one menu. Each has its own scoring rule and its own way of ending, and all four are over quickly enough that a session is a handful of attempts at whichever one you are currently worst at.
The shooting physics are the connective tissue. The ball arcs and bounces consistently, and rim contact behaves the way you expect it to, which is what makes chasing a high score feel like improvement rather than luck. There is no opponent, no clock beyond what each challenge imposes, and nothing to unlock.
How to play
Choose a challenge from the menu, then shoot. Depending on the mode you are scoring against a target, a timer or a streak. The number to beat is your own, and each attempt restarts immediately, so the loop between failing and trying again is almost instant.
Controls
- One input covers the whole thing — a tap on a touchscreen, a click on a computer.
- The presentation is built for an upright phone, and the touch version is where it feels most at home.
Tips
- Release at the top of the aiming sweep rather than at either extreme; the middle of the arc is the forgiving zone.
- Rim bounces are predictable enough to play for on the challenges that count rebounds.
- Work one mode at a time. Alternating between four different timing rhythms in one session makes all four worse.
