About My Happy farm
Rural scenery and gentle music disguise what is essentially a resource allocation puzzle. Crops take time, animals take feed, equipment takes capital you would rather spend elsewhere, and the farm only grows as fast as your worst bottleneck allows.
The tension sits in ordering. Buying land early gives you room but nothing to fill it with; upgrading tools first speeds up a small operation and delays expansion. Neither is wrong, and the game does not push you towards either, which is why two players can end up with farms that look nothing alike after the same amount of time.
How to play
Plant, tend and harvest, then decide what the proceeds buy. You walk your farmer around the property to interact with plots and buildings, and the menus handle purchases and upgrades. There is no fail state — the question is only how efficiently the farm develops.
Controls
- Walk with W A S D or the arrow keys, in any combination you find comfortable.
- Menus, purchases and upgrade panels are all handled by clicking with the mouse.
- Keyboard and pointer are both required, so play this on a computer rather than a phone.
Tips
- Harvest before you buy. Selling a ready crop often covers an upgrade you were about to take a loss on.
- Expanding land you cannot yet plant is dead money for several cycles.
- Equipment upgrades pay off most when the farm is already busy, not when it is small.
