About Kaboom Miner
Explosive crates, one small digger, and a grid where gravity applies to everything sitting above you. This is a dig-and-detonate puzzle, but the emphasis is on demolition rather than collecting. A bomb placed under the right stack starts a chain that takes out a quarter of the level.
The interesting wrinkle is that terrain counts as a tool. You push stones into position, lay bricks to bridge gaps or wall off a blast, shove crates somewhere they will do more damage, and even manoeuvre an enemy into a spot where you can finish it. Brute force will clear a level, but planning clears it far faster.
How to play
Destroy all the crates. Dig, reposition stones and crates, then set off the explosion that takes the largest group with it. Falling rock kills you as easily as your own bomb does.
Controls
- W, A, S and D dig and move in the four directions.
- Q drops a bomb and Space lays a brick.
- P pauses, Esc leaves the level.
- On a phone, a d-pad and matching action buttons appear on screen.
Tips
- Only clear the ground beneath a column of stones once you know where you will be standing when they land.
- Bricks are structural as much as protective. A bridge gets you back across a pit you dug by mistake.
- Look for crates already sitting next to each other before spending a bomb on an isolated one.
