Threats come from both directions at once, and that single idea is what separates it from the rest of the running-and-jumping crowd. Spikes sit along the ground while meteors drop from above, so a jump that clears one hazard can place you directly underneath the other.
The rest of it leans deliberately retro — chunky pixels, one jump, no complications. Gold coins gathered along the route go towards a shop of costumes, among them a cyber fox, a clown outfit and a royal robe. None of them alter how the game plays, which feels like the correct decision for something this stripped back.
How to play
Run and jump. Clear the ground spikes without leaping into a falling meteor, grab coins when the gap between the two hazards permits it, and continue until one of them catches you. Distance is the score, and coins carry over into the shop between runs.
Controls
- W, the space bar or the Up Arrow all jump on a computer.
- A tap anywhere on the screen jumps on a phone or tablet.
Tips
- Look upward before jumping. A meteor already falling can make a spike safer to run past than to leap over.
- Coins hanging high in the air are usually bait. Check what is above them first.
- Short hops beat long ones. The less time spent airborne, the fewer meteors you can possibly meet.
