About Spot Differences Bird Adventure

Two pictures, plenty of feathers, and a set number of alterations between them. The artwork favours brightly coloured birds in detailed natural scenes, which is pleasant to look at and also the reason the puzzles work — a changed wing bar or a missing berry disappears easily into that much texture.

A timer runs on each level, and it is the only source of pressure in an otherwise calm game. Differences tend to be genuine changes rather than cheap tricks, so nothing hinges on spotting a single altered pixel. Suitable for younger players, though the later scenes will keep an adult honest for a minute or two.

How to play

Compare the upper and lower images and tap each spot where they differ. Every correct find is marked on both pictures. Locate them all before the clock expires to clear the level and move on to the next pair of scenes.

Controls

  • Click with a mouse or trackpad, or tap the screen directly, on whichever image you noticed the change in.
  • Landscape orientation stacks the two pictures so both stay in view at once.

Tips

  • Compare in bands rather than roaming. Divide the picture mentally into three horizontal strips and finish one before starting the next.
  • Colour changes are easier to catch out of the corner of your eye than shape changes. Defocus slightly and something will usually jump.
  • Backgrounds hide more differences than the birds do. Check sky, branches and foliage before going back over the subject a third time.
