About Bus Color Jam
The station fills up faster than you expect. Passengers stand in a crowd, buses pull in wearing a colour, and tapping a person sends them walking towards the front. Get the colour right and they board. Get it wrong and they occupy one of a small number of holding tiles instead.
Those tiles are the whole game. There are only a few, they do not clear themselves, and the moment a mismatched passenger arrives with nowhere to stand, the level is lost. It plays quickly and it forgives nothing, which puts it closer to a resource puzzle than the reflex test the bright presentation suggests. Levels layer new complications on top as they go.
How to play
Tap a passenger to send them to the current bus. Matching colours board immediately; anyone else waits on a free tile until a bus of their colour arrives. Board every passenger to finish the level and collect coins. Run out of holding tiles with a mismatch incoming and you fail.
Controls
- One tap or click per passenger. There is nothing to drag or aim.
- It runs on phone and computer alike, with the station laid out in landscape.
Tips
- Clear the holding tiles the instant a matching bus arrives, before touching anyone in the main crowd.
- Never park a passenger on a tile speculatively. Every occupied tile is a move you cannot take back.
- Look past the front bus. Knowing which colour is queued next tells you whether a mismatch is worth buffering or not.
