About Ball Sort
The tubes start scrambled, six or seven colours interleaved, and your job is to unpick them one ball at a time. Where this version differs from stricter sorting puzzles is the safety net. An undo button reverses a bad decision, and an extra bottle can be added when the board seizes up, so the real question stops being “can I finish” and becomes “how cleanly”.
That shifts how it plays. Anyone can brute-force a level by undoing until something works. Solving it in a low move count means recognising which tube to hollow out first, and resisting the urge to make a move simply because it is legal.
How to play
- Tap a tube to pick up the ball sitting on top.
- Tap a second tube to drop it in — only if that tube has room and its top ball matches.
- Finish when every colour is gathered into a tube of its own.
- Undo, add a bottle, or restart the level whenever the position turns awkward.
Controls
- Selecting and placing are both single taps or left-clicks; the lifted ball hovers so you can see what you are holding.
- Portrait touch layout, with undo and restart within reach of one hand.
Tips
- Restarting beats undoing twenty times. A fresh look at the opening usually reveals the tube that should have been emptied first.
- Save the added bottle for the endgame rather than spending it the moment you feel cramped.
- Moving a ball onto a matching ball in a nearly-full tube costs you nothing later; moving it into an empty tube costs you an empty tube.
