About Marble Blast
A line of coloured marbles crawls along a track towards a hole at the end. You sit at a launcher in the middle, firing marbles into that line and clearing groups of three or more. If the chain reaches the end, the level is over.
The pace is unhurried, which is the point. Unlike reflex shooters, the pressure builds slowly, and most losses come from a run of poor placements rather than a single bad second. Undo and replay options soften that further, so it works as a puzzle you can think through rather than one you have to react to.
Boosters open up as you progress, and they change what a losing board looks like.
How to play
Aim the launcher, fire, and match colours to shrink the chain. Chain reactions are the main scoring engine, since one well-placed marble can collapse several groups at once. Bombs, lasers and other tools are held in reserve for the levels where the track is short and the chain moves quickly.
Controls
- Mouse: click where you want the marble to land
- Touch: tap the target point on the track
- The game is built in portrait, so a phone held upright fits it naturally
Tips
- Fire into the middle of a long stretch rather than the head of the chain, since gaps there set up chains.
- Hold a booster for the moment the leading marble is within a few positions of the hole.
- Watch the next marble in the launcher before choosing where the current one goes.
