About PaperWar.io
Everything in this game turns on one rule. Ground you have already claimed is safe; the trail you leave while outside it is not. Cut that trail and you are finished, which means every expansion is a calculated risk about how far you can push before returning to safety.
The target of taking a full hundred per cent of the map is what makes it more than a survival exercise, because at some point cautious nibbling stops being enough and you have to commit to a long loop through contested ground. A speed booster exists for exactly those moments. Nine skins are available if you want your territory to look like something specific.
How to play
Leave your claimed area, trace a path through open ground, and return to your own territory to convert everything you enclosed. Rivals do the same, and running over another player’s exposed trail removes them from the game. Keep expanding until the map is yours.
Controls
- Directional keyboard input steers your character, with a separate key for the speed boost.
- Mouse and keyboard only, so use a computer rather than a phone.
Tips
- Take many small loops when opponents are nearby and one long one only when the area is clear.
- Watch where rivals are heading rather than where they are — you want to intercept a trail, not chase a player.
- Save the booster for the return leg. Getting out is rarely the dangerous part.
