About Eat And Grow Fish
The food chain rule is an old one and it still works. Eat anything smaller, avoid anything bigger, repeat until the fish that was chasing you becomes lunch. What raises this version above the many others is its second mode. Duel puts two players in the same water on one keyboard, and being edible to your friend changes how you swim entirely.
Story Mode is the calmer half, a run of levels that steadily raises what counts as dangerous. In both, the tension sits in the seconds just after you grow, when the fish that were a threat a moment ago suddenly are not.
How to play
Eat smaller fish to grow, keep clear of larger ones, and carry on until nothing on the level outsizes you. In Duel Mode the other player lives under exactly the same rule.
Controls
- Arrow keys or WASD swim your fish around.
- The mouse steers as well, if you prefer pointing to pressing.
- Two-player duels share one keyboard, so a real keyboard is needed rather than a touchscreen.
Tips
- Fish only slightly smaller than you are the best value. The tiny ones barely move the needle.
- Hug the edges of the level while you are small, because the open middle is where the big ones patrol.
- In Duel Mode, denying your opponent a cluster is often worth more than eating it yourself.
